Theresa & Adam St. Germain (Co-Judge)

Adam, initially an Illinois native, didn’t start with Simmentals but first with Angus and then Herefords, of all breeds… he found the light and chased it ever since. Adam and Theresa met while she was at school at South Dakota State University while working at Bushy Park Farms in Mitchell, SD back in 2011! They since have bought a farm outside of Winnebago, MN and utilize Embryo Transfer and Artificial Insemination extensively. Adam and Theresa help manage her dad Roger’s herd of approximately 50 cows. Cattle from Roger Claeys Family Simmentals and St. Germain Simmentals are marketed on an annual show heifer sale in October, many consignment sales between Minnesota and South Dakota, the Royal Classic sale in Ames the first week of January, and, of course, always private treaty. Outside of the cows, the two have full times jobs. Adam is an Agronomist with Country Farm supply, and Theresa is an Associate Specialist with Merck. In their free time outside of making hay, Adam is on the Winnebago Fire Department. Theresa fills up her time as a MSA Board Member, Executive Committee member of the Minnesota Youth Livestock Expo (MYLE), and assists with Down 4 The Cause in Cedar Rapids, IA Thanksgiving weekend. In the summer you can find them at a cattle show, Sunday Funday in the creek with the neighbors, or on the ranger with the 3 dogs checking pastures and, in the winter, calving cows
